Can I use a different brand CPAP mask with a different brand CPAP machine?
“Will my ResMed mask fit my Fisher and Paykel CPAP machine?”
Questions of this ilk are quite common for us. The answer is yes, you can use different brand masks with different brand CPAP machines.
The only exception to this rule is the ResMed AirMini is only compatible with the ResMed AirFit P10/N20/F20 and F30. Also the AirTouch F20.
There is a common issue when replacing CPAP masks, that a connector from the old mask will often be sitting in the end of the tube. The video shows how to deal with this.
In summary, when you’re buying a new CPAP mask, it will work with any brand CPAP machine. If you buy a ResMed mask, it’ll work with the Philips machine, the Fisher and Paykel machine, the ResMed machine, the BMC, a DeVilbiss, or whatever machine you use.
The same goes with the other brands, so if you buy a Fisher and Paykel or a Philips mask, that’ll work with the ResMed machine. Just keep in mind that the AirMini is the only machine where the mask choice matters in terms of compatibility.
