If you are noticing water on your bedside table or moisture within your machine, this may be due to your ResMed AirSense 10 HumidAir Humidifier tub leaking.
A good test to see whether it is your tub that is leaking is to fill it full of water and leave it in the sink for a day to see if any water is coming out.
If you notice that water is coming out from the bottom of the tub it will need to be replaced. We advise against using any adhesives or tape to correct the leaking humidifier.
If your humidifier tub is damaged, check with your supplier to see if it is covered under warranty, the standard warranty period for the AirSense 10 humidifier tubs is 12 months from the date of purchase.
If your humidifier is not covered under the warranty period, you can replace your humidifier tub here.
Alternatively, if you would like to try using your CPAP machine without the humidifier, you can use a side cover.

You say that it may be the tub that is leaking but what if it is not? You do not offer alternative possibilities or solutions. What else might it e?
Christopher, generally it is the tub… We have seen quite a few come back. The only other alternative could be the seals on the machine where it connects, though not much moisture gets to there.
This is the second time my stand was covered with water. I removed the tank and filled it to the top and set it in the bathroom. No leaks, it seems the the machine siphons the water out of the tank and it goes all over the table. I see on the internet this has been a problem since 2015. What needs to be done to fix it?
Bill, From what I know, it is an issue where the plastic joins the metal. Perhaps made worse when pressure is applied (machine turned on?) I am not sure what ResMed have done to rectify this. Their email address is info@sleepvantage.com.au
They leak slowly from bottom seal. I filled with a little food colouring the next morning noticed where it was coming from it was the bottom join and seal
My (3 year old) ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet machine started leaking in March, immediately after returning from a short trip away from home where I used TAP WATER in the Humidifier Tub. The tap water I used was likely “hard water” and had a notable, distinct mineralized smell. I also noticed a few hard crystals in the tub after all the remaining moisture dried up in the tub. That tub was my newer tub I acquired at the end of 2019. Upon returning home I used my original tub since it was already clean. Several nights went by before I finally noticed the moisture soaked cabinet and other items all around my bedside furniture. I did immediately notice how my tub was nearly empty after each night of useโmuch more so than any other normal night of use, but I did not put 2 + 2 together; I thought I was simply sleeping longer (harder?) and that the room temperatures and humidity levels must have been different, somehow!
So I switched back to my newest tub, and I filled the old tub with water to the max level and have it sitting on the counter on a towel. For (3) three days now the old tub has sat and no water has leaked out of that tub, plus no more water has leaked out of the newer tub which I switched back too. Of course once home I switched back to using distilled water too.
Bottom line: THERE MUST HAVE BEEN SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENING TO ALLOW THE WATER TO ESCAPE THE TUB and/or THE MACHINE INTERNALLY. Is there possibly a syphoning action occurring somehow, or an internal valve or seal which could stick and allow this to occur.

I’d really like to get a new unit or have the humidifier fixed in mine, the heater has not worked in years and I can’t afford the 500 to replace it
My resmed 10 started leaking recently. My unit is new and purchased in March 2020.
I tried a different tub and the leak is the same. It is under the unit and not from the tub.
Paul, sounds like you will need to return your machine to where you got it to get it sent away.
My Resmed is leaking water from water chamber. How can I stop it It Wales my up of a night. Help please it a 10
you will need to replace it unfortunately
There appears to be a fundamental issue with the design of this model – I have had to replace my tub three times in 6 months. The materials don’t appear to be suitable. I’m just about to go to my 4th tub – so annoying
I have had a resmed airsense 10 cpap for over 6 years. I have gone through over a dozen cracked. tanks in that time. They all cracked along the metal/plastic seam. It is a well known design flaw wi this tank and nobody will fix it.
Hi Don, yes, frustrating. It has been reported back to ResMed.
Has this leak issue been sorted as mine has leaked about 4 times in the last month (also destroying the top of my antique side table ๐. It is intermittent, so each time I thought it was sorted. In frustration this morning I found your comments above from last year.
Any updates? What should I do?
Thanks.
Bet, I think you ar ebest to take this up with ResMed direct. sleepvantage is their customer service line.
Hi guys, my Airsense 10 also leaks water. I bought a new tub but I still have the same problem. Has anyone contacted resmed and had a response? I have spoken to two retailers and they donโt have an answer. Seems to be a common problem that is really annoying considering how much they cost.
Hi Peter, we haven’t got a great answer from ResMed either… info@sleepvantage.com.au is where to best to contact them.
My ResMed is leaking. I received it on July 16, 2021. What can I do?
Vivian, it is probably best to take it back where you got it and it should be replaced under warranty.
I have gone thru tank after tank from cracking issue’s. Now I an not due til January 13th for new ones. Very frustrating. Is my machine making them crack or is there a problem with the tanks themselves? Please help.
Best to direct this question direct to ResMed.
