The ResMed AirFit N30 is a newly released nasal mask by ResMed. The design lends some of it’s traits back to the ResMed AirFit P10 and the ResMed AirFit N30i.
ResMed AirFit N30
The ResMed AirFit N30 is the latest mask to be released by ResMed. It features a nice soft headgear and it seals under the nose as opposed to in the nostrils. It has QuietAir technology at the front and it connects the hose from your machine out the front as well. The N30 is compatible with every machine, except for the ResMed AirMini.
ResMed AirFit P10
The AirFit N30 is a little bit different to the P10 in a couple of different ways. The AirFit N30 has an adjustable clip on the strap, which is built in. Hopefully this means we will get a bit more life out of it. With the P10, you’ve got the seal that goes in the nostrils as opposed to underneath. Another difference between the two is the vent at the front. The AirFit P10 has a mesh technology.
The P10 is compatible with all CPAP machines, but keep in mind it has a specific connection for the AirMini.
ResMed AirFit N30i:
The ResMed AirFit N30i has a similar cushion to the AirFit N30. The big difference with the AirFit N30 is that the hose will connect at the top. Along with this, the frame and the straps are a little bit bigger as well.
The N30i can be used with all CPAP machines except for the ResMed AirMini.

I use full face Res Med Mask ,, my problem is the red marks each side of my nose . I am trying different creams ,,without success. I have been using mask for approx 7 years
Thanks for your comment Ron. Have you ever tried a nasal mask? Also, there is now the ResMed AirTouch F20 available which has memory foam cushions. Also, the F30 seals underneath the nostrils which may be a better alternative.
Which is quieter N30i or P10 nasal pillows? P10 hurts my teeth and gums.
Now I understand. I think I will try the N30 and not the N30i because of the adjustment of the N30 strap and because I don’t like the hose over my head. I hope it is as quiet as the P10 has been and not so harsh against my gums and teeth.
N30 is a good choice by the sounds of it here.
I prefer the N30i with the hose on top of my head. Works better when I switch sides while side sleeping.
I have been using the Swift FX for 7 years so far it is good however the just the wear and tear of the pillow and the straps is not ideal, I wonder if there is an upgrade or if the air fit is a better alternative as well if I change it, will it be a compatibility issue with the old CPAP unit?
Andrew, nearly all of my old Swift FX users went to P10 and like it. All masks are going to require parts be replaced from time to time. The P10 headgear is very comfortable but not as durable.
Will the N30 headgear fit on the P10 mask frame? I prefer the adjust-ability of the N30 headgear.
Derek, yes it will. See this blogpost: https://sleepright.com.au/cpap-masks/is-the-resmed-airfit-n30-headgear-compatible-with-my-resmed-airfit-p10-cpap-mask/
I have a beard and mustache am use a full MIRAGE mask ,want to go to a nasal mask which would be best to try m30 or p10
Roy, I would lean toward the P10. https://sleepright.com.au/cpap-masks/resmed-airfit-p10-s/
Can you replace the cushion of the P10 with a N30? Or do I need to buy a whole new frame?
You’ll need to get a new frame also
I primarily use the AirFit N30i and don’t have issues with it and prefer it most of the time. However, I have found on the occasions when I am sick and dealing with nasal congestion, it is very difficult for me to breathe through my nose. I would like to get the F30i to wear on these rare occasions. Do I need a completely new mask, frame, and headgear? Could I purchase just a new mask and frame? Or better yet, would my current headgear and frame be compatible if I just replaced the mask?
Hi Crystal, yes, you would need to purchase the whole mask system, unfortunately the parts are not compatible.
I am bald and have a large head. The P-10 straps leave marks on the back and sides of my head that last all day. Embarrassing! If I stretch the strap it is too loose and I get air leaks. Flawed design; straps should be wider. Any suggestions?
Have you tried the newer strap with built in clip?
Can I use the AirFit N30 pillow on a AirFit P30 frame?
Jean, Yes, but make sure its N30i and P30i
